Wanted to have everyone's opinion/suggestions as to how I should aim my Polk tweeters in the 4x6 opening's of my s10 ext cab p/u. So...the drivers side is angled towards the hood more so than the passenger side. I should've taken pics yesterday but...there's always tomorrow or later on right?!?! @Jeffdachef taking his idea and running with the tweets in dash idea. I have made some baffles for the tweets to kinda experiment with them 1st before finalizing things and when I get a build log going, I will include them. Btw, nice things about these tweeters is I got swivel cups that came with the kit...very nice. Right now, I just have the drivers side in, with the tweeter pointing sorta upwards, straight across the dash, if that makes sense.

I'm open to ideas. No goals really, but looking for best possible sound, crystal clear no matter what music I throw at them.

Double sided tape and/or a towel to demo the tweeters a day at a time. There is no right way. Sometimes on axis. Sometimes aimed across to the other A-piller. Sometimes aim at the mirror. It is car dependent. You must experiment and see what sounds the best for you. I have even heard of tweeters in the kickpanels sounding good.

gotta play around with it. Sometimes the dash firing up at the windshield might cause nasty reflections that throws off the sound, not to mention losing out on musical info above 10khz being off axis. Try using double sided tape and have them on axis firing at you via the A pillar or the sail panel and see whats the best location.

So...got the other tweeter in the other dash, angled opposite to the other. Did some listening with diff music, and the drivers side feels as though the sound is "stuck in the corner" if that makes any sense. This is something new to me, and will def have to experiment as you guys said. One of the most difficult things I've encountered. Any pointers/suggestions as to what I should be looking for would be greatly appreciated.

You could aim the tweeters on-axis to you ears. Screw the passengers, they are too drunk to appreciate good music anyway. Delay the left tweeter, 1-2ms. Take a laser pointer and align them with the side of the headrest.

So...did some more test listening and not too impressed with the location. I tried diff angles and I'm leaning towards the way the 4x6 location and dash has such a steep angle, may try something else instead: above the mid woofer in the door. Stay tuned...
