Depends on if you are watching it at night or not. Probably an LCD though.

I just bought a 50" Samsung Plasma. I absolutely, flat out love it vs. my 32" LCD in my bedroom. Although my 32" is only a Magnavox. I would say Plasma is better in my opinion. My buddy has a 46" LCD Toshiba (i think) and I think my 50" has better colors and depth if that makes any sense.

What Samsund did you buy? I am debating on the Samsung versus the Panasonic 720p 50" TVs.

Panasonics are known to be the number 1 plasma manufacturer last i checked with like samsung in 2 or 3 depending where u read.

The guy i went to said the panasonics are very well built...the dude gave the screen a pretty good punch to the display and it was like nothing happened. Also i speak with other guys on a heat issue as my samsung gets pretty hot where the vents are at but they say their panasonics don't get hot at all.

Also with panasonics many offer a 2 year "concierge" (sp?) service that means they go to your house for warranty issues...no shipping involved.

Kinda makes me wish i got a panasonic but i am definately more than happy with my samsung.

btw i chose the samsung because it was 150 dollars cheaper...i got a hell of a deal 42 inch plasma for 825+tax and this was back in May!!

When people say "deeper" colors.. I'm pretty sure that the color tuning is just turned up, and the brightness is slightly lower than the average LCD....

Is that LCD or Plasma?

Samsung is and LCD, Kuro is a plasma... The Kuros @ 50 inch are pushing 3Gs though.
