I got a friend who owns a very old televison set. It has been working great for her, but recently her cable company switched all her channels around. So now all her favorite channels are on channel 73 and above. The problem is her TV will only go up to channel 61. Does anyone know if there is any way of getting around this problem? She will probably just have to pick up a new TV, but I was wondering if anything could be done.

hmm..well what she can do is use a vcr as a cable box. Send the cable input to vcr then output to tv. Change to channel 3/4 then use the vcr to change the channels. It should bypass it.

cable co will usually give u a free cable box or let u rent one for a few bux a month just give em a call

Cable box if not the VCR trick. Theyre usually about $1-2/month for basic...

Does the TV only go to 61? You might be able to re-program the channels to go higher now that there is signal for the channels above 61.
