turning signal problem

that happened to my '98 jeep cherokee and i had to get it fixed to pass inspection in MD when i sold it, i was charged like $40 for it. dunno what they had to do though, probably only took a few seconds if it was only $40 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

Yeah im guessing it is very simple, but someone on this **** site has got to know what the hell it is.

ummmm dissconnect neg on battery u dont wont the air bag to go off. see were im not to sure its just on letf turns. i would check your wire harness. it could be somthing a shop should check out. is there any grinding sounds or clicking from the wheel?

right turning signal clicks like its supposed to, but the left dont click at all. And there is no grinding.

this is what you do. if you are good with car repairs. go for it get that wheel off. look dont do anything just look for any sings of anything broken. search the part that is broken on the web and go from there. if u dont wana, get it looked at. go to some one who wont try to run up the bil. you will be spending 75-150+ does not sound to bad. pick a nice day and get that signal thing fixed ..
