turning signal problem

Im not really sure where to post this but my left turning signal wont turn off when I turn the wheel back. It works for my right turning signal, but not the left. It gets really anoying to click it back into place after every left turn. Is there some kind of clip in there that needs to be fixed or what? And where is this located. I have a 95 astro van, and I never really tried to take apart the steering wheel column, so how would I go about doing this? Any help will be appreciated.

At least your not in oklahoma city. I have seen the most retarded amount of drivers in this city than any other city. Today I see this truck going the WRONG way on the street and people were swerving around him and shit, it was ****ing hillarious. I see retarded shit like this everyday. Uhhh I dont think it does, but I dont see how this would effect my turning signal

its not that I dont think that people are retarded (there are exceptions) bt its just everyone is an ******* to each other. nobody lets people in. if you put on a turn signal, the person you're trying to get in front of will speed up just so they'll be ahead of you. I was doing 5 over the speed limit coming home from practice today and got the finger from a lady in a minivan because i wasnt going fast enough. I've learned my lesson. speeding kills, and its just too **** expensive when you get caught.

Yeah people are like that everywhere. But out here in okc, I see a wreck almost happen everyday, and have seen a couple wrecks in person. I dont see this in dallas, I just see assholes out there. Also I see someone caring some matresses without having them tied down on the freeway, and all the sudden it flies in the air, I swerve out of the way, and another car wasnt paying atention and ran over it and caused a huge wreck, I thought it was cool, but still hoped everyone was alright. But lets not get too off topic here because I want to find this out.

Well it makes a big difference....I haven't taken apart a steering column that has a driver side airbag....

Any ways, if it doesnt have one (make sure) pop off/unscrew plastic center cover get steering wheel puller(free to borrow from Autozone/Kragen) pull steering wheel get to plastic turn signal switch, disconnect plug unscrew it pull it out go to autoparts store buy new one put it back together and you are done, 1 hrs worth of work at most.

pull the negative terminal on battery and then do the same thing....or don't pull the battery terminal and take it in the face

either way is a PITA
