Fi Q not hitting

I had hooked up my new sub and it was moving really good and then I tried setting my gain with a volt meter and now it doesnt move as much, what could be the problem

what's the target watt and voltage your using?

The first time I hooked it up just to try it out so I just set the gain really low so it wouldn't clip and the target voltage was 31.4 but I couldn't get the voltmeter to work right for my amp

I don't know what it was bc I used it to set a friends right after the failed attempt at mine, n it worked fine

I hope I didn't fry my amp, I don't think its the sub bc I didn't mess with it whlie I was setting the gain.

you double check to make sure your coils are wired right?

If my amp is fried would the sub hit at all I'm pretty sure its the amp now

wires parallel to 1 ohm its a DVC 2 ohm so its right

X-over setting maybe? If it's not your amp.

x-over is set to around 75 and tried it with subsonic filter on and off

Its just not hitting like it was,

The amp doesnt go into protect or anything but would it my sub hit at all if its blown?

wire it to the other load and see if it hits better.

But Its a 1 ohm stable amp

Where was the initial gain setting before you set it with the DMM? I'll venture that when it was "hitting good" you had the gain set higher than you do now. Also, what level tone did you use to set the gain? Try using a -6dB.

I turned the gained back to what I orginally had it after my failed attempt at setting with the volt meter

And it was also getting alot lower than it now
