turn on lead

ok so im new here and trying to install my first set of subs. i cant figure out where to wire the remot turn on lead to? can someone please help i have a stock deck so im not sure? the easiest simplest way to do it is the best for me right now.
If you have a stock deck and are trying to add subs, you will need to buy an LOC(line-out-converter) it crimps onto an existing speaker wire to provide the turn on power for the amp.

not if the stock has outputs for an aftermarket amp..which i've seen several as of late that do

you can splice the amps remote wire into any ignition controlled circuit.

He can always buy the RCA converter to iPod headphone jack and use it......

Yeah, any ignition controlled circuit will work. Grab a wire tester and find the wire thats "off" when the ignition is off, but "hot" when the ignition is on.

If you hook up to this wire, it means that when you turn your car ignition on the amp is going to turn on. This means that your amp is going to be on whenever your car is on. Even if your driving with the stereo off. Its not the best way to do it but itll work.

Ideally, If you bought a real head unit (or you end up finding a remote turn on lead off your stock head unit) their would be a wire that would turn the amp on and off according to whether your stereo is on or off.

a speaker wire for amp turn on huh.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif... wow!!!......//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

dont do that....

you will need a line out convertor for ur signal ( rca's)

then you will need to find ignition... behind the radio. fuse that between ur H/U and amp. and you should be bumpin!
