Best sounding motor noise I ever heard was from the Mercedes Benz SLR, hard to describe its like what a big block would sound like if it went to finishing school.

As a former turbo car owner(DSM), I enjoy a turbo whine much more than a sc whine. I dont mean the BOV noise either. The BOV sounds cool, but nothing like a huge turbo spooling up. The sound is amazing.

i love the sounds of GNs, there is juss sumthin about them that gives me a boner. wit the rite exhaust on those, its like ya fav. song of all time. i have 2 get me 1 of those cars.

i like my turbo sound. the BOV sound sometimes gets annoying, and is the reason why i have a diverter valve instead, not to mention its better for my setup. its not as loud as the BOV...the SC whine would personally be sweet for awhile, but i think it would start to annoy the piss outta me. personally i like my turbo + intake & DV + catback exhaust and downpipe sound. its sweet.

Interesting, Im assuming you have a VW (dubbin...), my friend has a gti and he went with the diverter valve too. Isnt that just the same as a bov thats nonatmospheric? One that recirculates?

Anyways, yeah the SC whine might get annoying, but from what i've heard, you can do things to get ride of it, like the air intake is where alot of it comes from and if you have an aftermarket one the sound really opens up.

Im wondering if a SCed focus would sound good or not.

SC whine and feel instantaneous torque, and for you BOV guys it doesn't have to be Turbo to have one. My old SC SHO Taurus had a louder BOV than any semi I have ever heard, when you'd change gears at 8500rpm's---whoooooooosh!

Proper stall converter +turbo= more torque than SC
