tuning frequency for dd1008a

ive never used the 1008's but with the 1508's that i have, they unload quickly about 3/4 of an octave below tuning. i would think that the 1008 may be about the same.

in one of my installs, i used a loading wall made from 1/2" plexi glass mounted about an inch above the tallest part of the sub.(the foam surround) and it helped quite a bit.

another thing, with all of the dd subs that ive used, i have always added an inch or so to the port area and have always had excellent results.

ill se if i can dig up a pic of the box with the loading wall.

did one for two little kicker crv 8s in my dads expedition and i was rather impressed considering they seeing about 50 watts each

then you should be very happy as long as everything is good with the box. thoes 1008's are a whole diffrent monster.

still new to building boxes havent fu%Ked with aeros this will be my third box built if all goes well. yea i will take a few pics here and there

should be loud tuned to 40hz! I've never tuned above 33hz, I'll have to try one day. PICS of your box would be cool
