TUNING Freq for Electronic music

ill be running a 400wrms Pioneer TS-w307d2 (dual 2ohm VC) driven off by a kenwood 300WRMS bridged at 4ohms, and will be put in a ported enclosure.

what do you think is the ideal frequency for electronic music (trance, dance, etc)???

the Fs of this sub is 33.9Hz

also when i decide on which freq im gonna tune it, should i insert the actual tuning freq in a calculator or should i decrease or increase this value since in reality it will tune differently(dont know if it actaully tunes higher or lower)???

thanks

when you say you tuned it to 30Hz what value should I enter in a ported design calculator since in reality it will tune to a slightly different freq?????

thnks

Get a better calculator, I suggest one that tunes to the frequency you enter.

CHeck out WinISD Beta. Sorry to sound so harsh, but whats the point of using said calc if it doesnt work?

Tune to low 30's type in 30 if its off by a few Hz you wont be able to tell to the ear, main thing is you dont tune near and above 40Hz ok?

What program are you using?

Once you figure out the airpace requirements come back with the dimensions that you get and ask someone on here nicely to check the math for you. Good luck bro. Its not rocket science but it isnt easy either.

ok so i'll tune it at 33hz, since you suggest in low 30's and also the Fs of the sub is 33.9hz!

its not the calculator that is crap, i found people suggesting that if you DESIGN a box to tune at 33Hz, in the ACTUAL WORLD it will not be tuned at that DESIGNED freq, maybe they're wrong????

also Pioneer recommend an enclosure volume as follows for a sealed purpose:

Recommended sealed enclosure (Litres) 24 - 49,6 litres

my sub is good for ported and I'M going ported, but what volume should i use for ported enclosure?????

thanks
