Tuning for L7s

ya, it's confusing

bigger box = shorter port

more port area = longer port

plus you want the box size and tuning to coincide, bigger box = lower tuning.

what size l7 is it? I only know 15's, and for 35hz, i'd go 4.0-4.5 NET

and by 'i'd go' i mean "that's what kicker told me on the phone"

and when i say i talked to "kicker" on the phone, i mean i actually talked to "kicker" the spirit entity, not a tech.

it's wild

i need to go back to work, they probably think i'm binging on heroin, i'm already 31 minutes late //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

anyone got any plans i could see to get an idea of what a good ported bix looks like on the inside.....i want to do a port in the middle
If you don't know the means to figure out port dimensions, you may want to ask someone to help design one for you. Just looking at a picture will not describe how to determine port dimensions.

call kicker, man

their techs (at least the ones i talked to) really knew their stuff, don't remember the guy's name that i talked to but he told me how much port area, and the length for the size and tuning i wanted right on the phone.

Doesn't get any easier than that.

just call em up, and tell them you have a technical question, and they'll give you the right person
