Tuning for 12W6?

Building a box today for my buddies 2 12W6s the older style, JL audio says 2.25 cu ft per ported but doesnt give a tuning.. anyone know what I should tune to for 50/50 sq/spl? at 4 cu ft..

how much power are you going to give to each of them?

i had a set and they were really good tuned to 33hz

how much power were each of those seeing? im currently giving one 360w in a 1.25 ft^3 sealed box and it slams

i was putting some where around 350 apiece

There only getting about 200-250 a piece for now but will probably see more in the future. JL suggest 4.5 for both so I'm brining it down to like 3.5-4 to make up for less power and simply limited space...

thanks man. be sure to post up the results. i have never ported mine, so i would like to hear feedback on how it sounds. good luck with the build.

On the JL site it gives dimensions for what size ports to use. I calculated it and it looks like they recommend about 37hz for the W6's.
