What type of glue should be used to re-attach the spider?

CA Glue - the rubber or buytl based version (often colored black). its available from some local hobby stores for the glue that seals tires on RC cars. Its usually made by BSI (Bob Smith Industries), Loctite, or Cyberbond. All in order of most expensive.

15-minute Epoxy works good too if you can't fit CA.
