Hey guys was I was trying to tune my amp by multimeter I have 2 Rockford Fosgate P3D2-12 and t1000-bdcp amp also fosgate the subs are wired at 2 ohms and wanting to run the amp at 1200 watts for the 2 subs the PVC paper says the amp will push 1400 rms when it was tested the HU I have is a kenwood DDX-318 with 22 rms whating to see what voltage yall come up with here is my

V sprt 1200*2 =2400 the sqrt of 2400 is 49.39 is that right?

Set the gain to the rated power not the birth sheet. Those birth sheets are tested under optimal conditions at a unknown freq. You will not see those numbers daily. Unless you can scope it then clamp it yourself dont trust them

Ok so if I take it to 1000 what would it be just want to make sure I calulate right 1000*2 2000 sqrt = 44.72

I also have a tC

only thing I worry about is putting the needles back and removing them I work at the place where there made but I make the alt for them but it is pretty easy just the needle is the tricky part
