I would also like to make it external if possible so that I wouldn't have to take out port displacement

a 6' x 17" aero will only take up .27 ft^3... thats not to bad..

Thats with the ending net volume being 3ft^3. So it could be external or in the enclosure. you would just need to adjust your gross volume while building it for all displacements if you build it with it inside the box.

a 6" aero is plenty for a single 12" sub...

Dude send me some! LOL!! I dont have enough room for 4 4" aero's in my new box.. So i am gonna give 6" pvc a try.

If your using 6" PVC with no flared ends the port needs to be 16.35"
