The Fire Owns
OK so heres the deal. Figure im goin with two of the RE SX's in my Tahoe. Basically RE's site outlines this setup for two of theyre 12's in a 2 cuft box.
That being said. The box is very deep and in the case of my Tahoe will put it all in one corner and not very practical due to my large space. So, the SX is a 1.9 ohm sub and after doin the math that should require a box that is 3.8 cuft. I changed the dimensions to fit between my wheel wells but not be so deep. After doing this, however, I have a long box with a gap in the middle. So I proposed a center square port. Seems pretty simple based on the pics ive been seeing and other examples. So I sketched together what I want to do in my mind
I used the port calculator and came up with a length of 34.71" for a 13"x5" port to allow 32hz. Im assuming that calculator is for a traditional port style which is different from mine. So does that calculation still apply in my case. Am I to assume the length of the back walls will still be 34.71" even though its a differnet setup. Sorry guys if this is a dumb question. Ive been reading post after post after post in here trying to take it all in.
