//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crying.gif.ec0ebefe590df0251476573bc49e46d8.gif Alright so i have a self amplified subwoofer on my rear dash that i unplugged and i wanted to use the positive and negative wires from its input to run to a low level converter http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5760830417&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWN%3AIT&rd=1) and then run those rca's to my amp. Everytime the music bumps my amp's light will flash brighter but no sound out of the sub. I have this amp: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=64572&item=5761746576&tc=photo At first i had a little EXTREMELY distorted vibration that sounded like something was messed up with the sub but then i was going to ground my low level converter (while the ground was already attached to the converter) and accidentally hit the positive on my amp instead of the negative and it made a sizzling sound. Now i have no sound at all from my sub. I have checked the fuses on the amp and they seem to be alright. I even tried going into my rear speakers instead of the output for that little sub on the dash and nothing worked. How can i tell if my amp is fried? What can i do to troubleshoot this and see what is broken (if anything)?

would really appreciate it. Thanks - David //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

dude it sounds like you fried it try running the amp alone for power if there is power then hook up a speaker if no sound you may have burnt the channels . . .outside of that you need to go throough the entire system to look for faults . . good luck bro hope you get your beats back . . //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/veryhappy.gif.fec4fed33b4a1279cf10bdd45a039dae.gif

Do you think that i could have possibly burn out my low level converter accidentally touching the 12v source when i meant to touch the ground? Ill check on that amp tomarrow. Although I think it probably is the amp like you said

i had to find a digital meter and tested the preamp on the LLC and it had no power at all coming out. I hope its the LLC cause i dont want to have to replace an amp.
