Trying To Figure Out What Amp

Hey guys! Whats going on? Well, I finally decided on what to do with my sub situation. I was having trouble deciding between two 10"s or 1 12". I decided to go with one 12" sub. I got a 12" Kicker CompVR 05CVR124 Dual 4-ohm sub and a Q-Logic QLH-1.2512SE.

I hope I made a good decision. What do you think?

Now, I have to figure out what amp to get. I am trying to spend as little as possible, but I obviously do not want crap that is going to die on me. The most I have is $150 including shipping. I am probably going to be buying an amp of of EBAY. I know I have heard that companies like Boss supposedly have bad reputations, so I avoided looking at those. Is their reputation true?

Anyway, I was thinking about maybe one of these two subs: Profile Baja HA700M or a Profile CL600M or if the other two REALLY won't work (I would rather spend less), I guess I could spend extra money and get a Profile AP1000M

Would these amps be okay to power that sub? Which would you recommend? Are there other amps I should consider? Thanks.

umm about the box you are getting... its a ported 1.25 cube box. That sub's recommended ported enclosure is 1.75-2.25 cubes. Getting a tiny ported box will make the sub sound bad.

I doubt the sub will sound good in that enclosure because the box has not been designed and tuned for that specific sub. If you get a prefab box, get a 1.5 cubic foot sealed box, or build your own ported box. You can build your own for $25 worth of materials rather than spend about $100 for that Q-Logic box.

Its actually like sealed but has a port if i want or something...The sub is already installed in the box...

At this point... I just need help with an amp

Out of the amp choices you have, go for the Profile CL600M. You can wire your sub to two ohms because it is DVC, which will double the amps power output to around 400 watts! Perfect match for your sub.

Just as a note:

The HA700M does 350 rms x 1 @ 2 ohms

The CL600M does 450 rms x 1 @ 2 ohms

The AP1000M does 500 rms x 1 @ 2 ohms

I would rather buy one of the first two, since they are cheaper, but if I need to, I could get the third one...

So which one?

On another forum, someone keeps telling me that a Profile CL600M will not be enough to do my sub justice. He keeps saying I should just keep saving money and buy a better amp. Is this true? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/uhoh.gif.c07307dd22ee7e63e22fc8e9c614d1fd.gif

Well, I would go for the AP1000M because it is brand new and puts out slightly more power. The CL600M is factory refurbished. Although it should work like new, I personally don't trust refurbished things. Your choice though, I guaruntee you won't hear the slightest difference in sound output.

Oooo. Good point. I never saw that the CL600M is refurbished. Maybe I should just spend the extra $15 to be safe then. Anyone else have an opinion on that?

I dont know why you guys would reccomend a Profilevery low end, horrid resale value and theres tons better stuff out there for not much more money
What does everyone else think?

Also, if I were to get the AP1000M, since it does 500 watts rms x 1 @ 2ohms, and the sub is rated at 400 rms, would that be okay? Could the 05CVR124 take that?
