Trying to Decide Between a Few Subwoofers

dude i would just design your own for free. Its actually fun and easy. Just use this website to find out how long to make the port

Subwoofer Enclosure Calculators, Parallel, Series, Port Length and Volume

Scroll down to the part where it says slot port lenght calculator and it asks you to enter the port width and height and box volume after displacement and desired tuning frequency and then it will tell you how long to make the port.

You kind of have to guess and check because every time you make the port longer or shorter it effects your box volume but i think its fun and its free.

Torres box calculator over that 12 volt site anyday of the week. Xplicit audio app on the phone is good too. Way more comprehensive and accurate. All designs can be checked with Winisd.

You're saying that the 12 volt calculater is inaccurate or just less easy/efficient to use?

I know you mean well but alot goes into designing an enclosure. But I agree explore build your own box and test things yourself it's fun but it's hard work.it's also very rewarding to hear it after doing it all yourself!

Exactly and designing a box really is not that hard if you know your max external dimensions you can use and if you find out what you want the cubic feet and tuning to be. After that it's really pretty easy, and free haha

Being loud isn't free.. hehe. You can be average or loud. Btw I've designed plenty of boxes for free..

Alright thanks everyone! I appreciate all the help I have been getting and I will be designing it myself as well. I am curious though, how necessary is a double thick front wall (using 3/4 MDF of course) with something like 2 GCON's? Or should I just do single thick everywhere? Saving some weight would be great so this is why I ask.
