Trying to choose my 8s

Does anyone around here 1) have videos of the TC1000 or DD1508? 2) have heard more than one of these and can compare them?

My understanding is that the rl-i can get real loud but may not be able to hit the lower spots like an assasin can. Haven't heard much detail about the 1508 or TC so input would be great. And I am still searching.

I have 4 TC Sounds TC1000s.

You can check out pics here (Post #6):

I love this setup. Compared to my 18xxx & 15btl, these 4 8s are close to that kind of loudness. Roof Flex, rear trunk flexing, depending on the song my windsheild wipers tend to vibrate. I'll be making a video soon, so stay tune. I still need to finish up my setup.

At the San Diego meet we had, a lot of the guys there heard my setup. Hopefully they see this thread, to give feedback on how my car sound. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Dante, do the TCs sound good, able to get low and sound clean as I said before? Or are they just SPL?
TC1K's are not meant to be SPL woofers. So yes, they have great quality and does get low. As long as the enclosure is properly built, your good to go! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Im starting to lean towards either Rl-i or TC. Guess I just have to make up my mind then... More input on that and the guys who suggested DD 1508 Im still curious if ya'll have heard more than one of em and in comparison which is better at what.

Assasin info is good too, haven't heard enough about it.

The RL-i 8 i installed in the rear deck of a dodge charger suprised me with how much bass it actually had.

Drops way low for only being in .5 sealed. It sounds like a good 10, maybe a 12.

I also was in that situation on choosing Rl-i8 and TC1K. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif I have my reasons, just don't want to say it in public.

I know I would be glad to hear it in a PM. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/up2something.gif.dd110ecf3ae4b76050d87598f2f8de7c.gif

Also how much power to the TC and the Rl-i would yall suggest to get it going. I see 400 and 300 respectively.

3-500w should get it moving.

I plugged one into the wall for a short burp, still works fine //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

No music is 13-29hz so you wont have a problem //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

To answer the question...

Fs is just the resonant frequency of the subwoofer, not what notes it wont play
