Trying out for a professional hockey team...

sounds like its going to be a tough choice then. Good luck, and take some time thinking about it. If they gave you much time, that is! I think its awesome you got a call-back after a year though. You made an impression on them, thats for sure.

Of?

Yeah, well I'm there twice a week so they see me play a good amount.

As far as playing, I have a couple of pics that are a few years old, also got some pics of my new gear that I'll show off

Coming across the net about to drop into a b-fly

As far as equipment, pretty much replaced everything from the above pics:

Or I occasionally wear my old school combo:

Just got that set a little over a month ago.

jesus. if you don't mind my asking, what did that setup set you back?

Too much, that's for shit sure.

Over the last year I've purchased,

-2 masks (pictured)

-2 sets of pads (old playing pics and new ones at the bottom)

-3 sets of gloves (only 2 sets are shown)

-skates

-4 sticks (sticks are around ~$60/piece)

-2 pairs of pants

-2 C/A's (chest/arm protectors)

Probably well over $4,000 in equipment.

Chris Osgood will buy that off you.. IIRC, a few years back, dusing a game Mickey Redmond (Detroit announcer) was saying they were having a hard time finding him those helmets

Ozzie got some from the old USSR national team, IIRC. I think from Tretiak, actually. From what I hear he's got a good amount of them in his hands. The cages are what are impossible to find. They are even tough to find on Ebay.

I got a replica cage that was made for a different mask, but works with that one quite well. It's actually stronger steel than the original one and the chin drops a little lower for more neck protection. I like using that mask, but a teammate told me to stop wearing it because I was playing like crap with it, so I've been using my other mask (pictured) for the past couple of weeks.
