I was invited to try out for a professional inline hockey team this weekend in the PIHA (http://www.thepiha.com). There are 3 tryouts over the next two weekends.

Didn't even know they had pro roller hockey. I used to follow the US National inline team as a kid on the team played ice hockey with my son one season and ended up at Colorado College.

It was a requirement to learn how to skate in my elementary gym class. Kinda strange thinking about it now lol

I had the first of 3 try-outs today.

I'm a goalie. They're taking 4 goalies, for 2 teams. 8 goalies showed up. Me and probably 4 others played at about the same level, while 2-3 were a little below. I had a few nice saves when we scrimmaged. We skated for the first hour, did some 1 on 1 and 2 on 1 drills for about 15 minutes, and scrimmaged for about 45min. My feet are ****ing killing me. Next tryout is next Saturday, got a game Thurs night.
