tryin to wire in my sub/amp/head unit

I'm tryin to wire in my sub to the amp to the head unit...I'm wonderin where the rca cables plug in. The cables have a red plug and a black plug...my amp has 2 channel plug ins (LEFT on top & RIGHT on bottom) and 2 pre-outs that are on the right side of the channel plugins. So if ur lookin at it left to right top to bottom it goes; LEFT, PREOUT, RIGHT, PREOUT. Can anyone tell me what goes where? It is a JL Audio A1200 amp and the head unit is a Kenwood KDC-BT838U. It is a bridgable 2 channel.

K I watched it. The only problem is...my preout plugins and channel left/right plugins are all black, they are not red/white or red/black. So I don't know which cable goes where. I don't wana start guessing combinations and blow my stereo or amp ya know?

to keep it simple use the red plug on the right rca at the head unit and on the right amp input. use the black on the left ones. easy way to remember this is red = right

the amp preouts are used to connect another amp.

Hooked up my sub and amp to the stereo and battery. But the amp isn't turning on? Anyone got any ideas?

Check your power and grounds. Make sure fuse isn't blown in your amps power wire. And also check your remote turn on wire. If all of those check out, and you are 100% sure you have the remote turn on lead connected to the correct wire on your HU, then I am not sure where to go from there.

To expand on that a bit if you have a multimeter, just stick the leads on your power and ground input on the amp and make sure there is good voltage there. If yes, make sure your remote turn on lead is connected to either the blue wire coming out of the HU or something in your car that comes on with the ignition.

I have power to the amp, I checked it. Gotta be the remote wire but I'm pretty sure its hooked up rightn I wired it to the "remote cont." Wire on the deck. Its a kenwood kdc-bt838u. Looked online for a wiring diagram but no luck...any ideas?

Just to make sure that remote cont. wire should be either blue, or blue with a white stripe.

It should have 12v to ground on it when your radio is turned on.

try switching it to the blue and white wire.
