I know theres a couple of these, but half of it is a joke, so is there anyone on here actually knowledgeable about weight training? Im around 5'11 and weigh 208. Im tryin to really just get bigger and cut, not necessarily lose tons of weight and look skinny. Any work out tips or diet tips? Suppliments I should try maybe? I have been tryin to go to the gym at least 3 times a week, and I work out and swim.

6 smaller high protein meals a day, a daily vitamin, proper form when working out, you will see better results if you have great form, squats and deadlifts, working out your core is the key to overall size.

i eat alot of red meat, and foods with high proteins, but i eat 4 portions a day every other day, but on the odd days i eat nothing but greens, and use the formula i was telling you about, Ripped. I noticed a difference in muscle increase within 2 weeks.

diet is number one thing, IM me if you have any questions, 5' 11" and 208 means your slightly chubby?, correct me if im wrong....so you may want to cut down, then focus more on a nice clean bulk...

Lift heavy (with proper form... for example, benching 300 the wrong way might mess you up but putting up 225 the right will give you the results you want), eat a lot. That's it.

go once a day. Each day exersize different mussles.

eat 5-7 times a day, but smaller meals, meals shoudl always include a lot of protein.

Eat food with heavy portein after and before you exersize especially.

Drink creatine supplelements but go week in, week out. So you body isn't just forced to grow musscle.

Get a training partner who is tronger then you, to push you.

Do cardio for 1/2 an hour prior to lifting, to get all muscle warmed up.

Strech for 15 minutes on mussle group your working on that day to make sure you don't hurt your self

Lift 50-60% of your maxium, do 3 reps of 10 on upper body musscles, 3 sets of 15 on lower body musscles.

Hope this helps. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

true story, im 5'10 190 and im not lean anymore so he could stand to lose a few lbs, but it is easier to burn fat in areas with more muscle...

no, no offense but no.

First off. DON'T BUY ANYTHING FROM GNC!!!!!!!

Order online to save big $$.. I have ordered from supplementwarehouse.com and massnutrition.com .. Both have great prices.. For example, I went to GNC today just cause it was near a store I was at..For a 120count bottle of Lipo 6 it was like $45..I ordered it off massnutrition for $20.. EXACT SAME THING, $25 LESS! Protein is way cheaper too. The only supplement you really need is protein, although I would also recommend creatine. Everyone responds differently to it, but it worked well for me. I have been using creatine off and on for almost 2 years now, and it doesn't give me near the results it once did.

Try to get in 1g protein per pound of body weight each day. Find a routine, and stick with it for 8-10 weeks. Then find you another routine. I alternate between strength training (lower reps) for about 8-10 weeks, and then switch to another program usually involving higher reps. An excellent program to start out on is a 5x5 program. This is performing 5 sets of 5 reps at the most weight you can handle to properly complete each set. Each week, move up 5lbs or so. Perform this 5x5 on the three major compound lifts..Bench press, squat, and deadlift. Throw in a few more exercises each body part along with those 3 compound lifts and you are set to gain some good mass.

Starting out, I'd recommend something along these lines.

Monday- Chest/Triceps

Wednesday- Legs

Friday-Back/Biceps

Sunday-Repeat

I'd throw in some ab work 2-3 times a week for about 15 minutes.

Any other questions, ask.

Don't worry about losing weight right now. Since you're on the bigger side, you might want to concentrate on building up muscle first (for at least 4 months) and THEN working on losing your weight, which will give you the definition you want.

Maintaining muscle is cake, but building is much MUCH harder. You will have an easier time building muscle right now since you are "well nourished." Trying to lose weight, improve your cardiovascular system, AND building muscle at the same time will yield poor results and you will get frustrated. Focus on one at a time, starting with strength.

If you want, I can send you an excellent e-book on weight training, but it is really geared towards skinny guys like me. Although it does have great tips in it for everyone. PM me with your e-mail address and I'll send you a copy.
