So the PT Cruiser deal i was suppose to get fell through, SMMFH.... But oh well....

Today i will be picking a 00' Mitz Galant. These are my favorite cars that i have owned to date. This will be my 3rd one. I had a 95 & 99. Both of those were good for me. The 99 messed up but it was fault the cars. But 2000 Galant im getting is a slick little car and well taken car of good body for the age.

So im going to be sticking with a trunk build lol. Good thing is that its ES trimmed model so it has the rear folding seats:fro:.

The build will more and likely be Sub & Port Forward, trunk sealed off/paneled off.

System Consists of:

-1 Incriminator Audio Death Penalty 15 - D1.4

-1 Soundstream Ta1.3000d

-4 Runs of 1/0(i know its over kill but i may upgrade later)

-8 Gauge Ofc Speaker Wire

-1 Stock Battery & 1 XS Power D3400(will probably be adding another)

-Stock 90a Alt(For now until i get a bigger alt)

-Will be wired to .7 before rise.

I have a box plugged into a calc. i have 4 cubes net with 60.56 sqinches of port. So 15.12 per cube and tuned at 36(35.93).

So looking for thoughts and other ideas on the enclosure size also.

Tuned in. I just picked up a used dp 15 that I'm putting on an AL 3500 @.7 but in an suv. I have my old xcon box that's 4.3 @29 but in talking to people the Dp doesn't gain much low end tuned below 32ish. I was told that about 4.25cu is perfect tho

Thats like me i have another box from AB Hd15 and its 4.25 with a 7.5" Aero or cubes tuned at 35hz. But it may not be enough port though with aeros rule of thumb says 8-12" of port per cube, mine comes out around 10.38 inches of port per cube. it may actually work honestly. But just trying to he ideas on what could work it for me.

i have a hard time believing that small of a difference in port area will make a big difference but id consult with some of our resident enclosure experts before taking my word for it lol

Actually it will. Especially when you start running a lot of power. Hell when I was experimenting with different box size/tuning/port for my zvx-8, I had nearly a 1 dB gain by increasing the port from 16.29 sqin per cube to 16.86 sqin.

OP, be thankful the PT cruiser didn't work out. You'll be much better off in the long run. PT's are the most breakingest-*** rides I've ever seen in my life. You sneeze in the middle of changing the oil and gotta replace the fan and ac compressor. Couldn't imagine what the vibration from a sub would do, it'd probably start to rust.

but with mine im running aeros(for now) so the amount of port is diff. They say 8-12" per using aeros. 10.38 per is a pretty good amount i would think

How exactly did you increase port area? I'm guessing other specs changed along with port area....

OP there is NO alt you'll ever fit on that car that requires 4 runs of 1/0......$$$ better spent on stuff to actually get you loud/sounding good...

i already had this wire. I bought it last year when i was going to be possibly getting a different vehicle. i coul[d make my mind up at that time lol. Also the wire didnt cost me that much, so i figure i make current transfer as efficient as possible for what im running. Also will be doing big 3 upgrades and have dual Inputs for the amp. i have about 90 or so foot of 0ga so i figure why not use it. Also electrical does help you get loud lol..... idk i may use all the wire i may not. I know i will use 2 runs of wire at least(1 pos & 1 negative) for a good circut.
