true watts on this amp? or not?

Based on the fuses I'd guess 75 watts per channel at the most.

Fuses arent a good way to judge output.

That amp uses 2 25w fuses for its claimed 400w total power, my Zed Audio made USA 2300f uses 1 60w fuse and its rated (at 12v) to be 300w x2.

Its very possible that Power Acoustic comes close to actually putting out 400w.

Shure fuses are a good way to tell output if you have a general idea on how effecient the amp is. Its definetly an easy way to tell if its overrated.

WTF? Fuses are measured in amps, not watts!!!

so it is a total of 50 A, and using the formula P = U x I (P = Power, U = Voltage and I = Current) it will look like this: P = 13,5volts x 50 A

= 675watts.

That's the power the amp uses, and it's probably a class AB amp, so cut that power in half or something like that and you have the output of the amp...

Oh, and that crappy plasma stuff on the top of amp will probably use much of the power going in to the amp as well, not very efficient //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eyebrow.gif.fe2c18d8720fe8c7eaed347b21ea05a5.gif

OMG.........Power Acoustik coming close to it's actual rating, are you kidding me? I do agree with you as far as people rating the output of an amp based on it's fuses, but Power Acoustik doesn't make ANYTHING close to their claimed output.
