Troubleshooting

I've been having a problem with my tweeters for some time now... Basically, every now and then the passenger side tweeter will crackle and cut out.

To fix this I just let the back seat down and everything is fine.

It happened today (b4 I put the seat down) and everytime I pressed on teh gas the speakers would crackle.

Anybody have any idea what's going on? Thanks.

sounds to me like you have a speaker wire shorting out, or it's disconnected somewhere
Why would the speakers only crackle when he presses the gas? That's where I got my educated guess from //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif If the speaker wire were shorting out or disconected, wouldn't it crackle at random times?

you are a moron

maybe something moves around or something, like him moving the seats...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/awesome.gif.4430a219d9aaaa6cadc75e9290979dfb.gif

My guess is a fault in the ignition system. That can cause a issue like you described and can fluctuate with the gas pedal. Check the distributor and the spark plug wires for wear and defects.
x3, check that alarm too, some alarms on foriegn cars have emergency tweeter shutoff switches

Now I'm not jumping the gun and calling you a ****face, but I certainly could. Now when he presses the gas, why would it crackle? Logic tells you that pressing the gas wouldn't make the seat move around, unless his seats are broke, and fly around like monkeys on crack whenever he accelerates or decelerates. Now before you call me a moron again, please think logically here, and try talking through your mouth, not your ***. **** your post count, that doesn't allow you to make random guesses, and hope they are right.

logic?

random?

how about newton and physics...the laws of inertia tell me that when an oblect is at rest it tends to stay at rest...so when he hits the gas and the car starts to move, for a split second the speaker wire stay's still

to the op, check your wiring

o and one more thing...you're a moron

What does the speaker wire staying still for a split second have to do with anything? He said the seat was up, which means it wasn't going anywhere, and it wasn't moving around. Unless his speaker wire is just dangling somewhere, and not tucked in at all, I doubt it's got enough inertia to move enough to cause crackling when he accelerates, and he's probably really got to floor it to cause it to move that much, mind you. Also, what made you assume he was moving at all? If you want to be exact with Newton's laws here, it is specifically "Every object in a state of uniform motion tends to remain in that state of motion unless an external force is applied to it." If the car isn't moving, and he presses the gas, how is this causing the speaker wire to move? Now shut your **** mouth before you make a fool of yourself again.

my point is...it could move wires move you know:fyi:

yeah your right it's too much amperage //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif
I realize that was wrong, that's why I promptly edited my post. I even did the right thing by apoligizing for my not-so-smart response. I'm not trying to start a war with you here, I'm trying to open your mind to all possibilities, which I believe would be of benefit for everyone that reads this, including the original person with the question. I don't need people calling me names, and saying I am wrong when there is a chance that I am right.
