Troubleshooting help

Hey guys. Got a question for ya . . . my g/f's got her system in, deck, amp, speakers, etc. Everything has been working for awhile now, no problems, but then the other day she got in her car, turned it on, and said she heard a pop, and then she started hearing a buzzing noise from the speakers. The speakers still play, no distortion, so nothing blew, but we switched the amp and it's not that. Any suggestions? I'm thinking possibly a problem with the radio, but that's all I can think of.
