Treo RSX 12s vs JL 12w1v2s

I have some JL Audio w1v2s in my Firebird and have the opportunity to get some Treo 12s and I'm wondering if anyone has any information on the Treos? They are rated at 350 rms and the JLs are rated at 300. Anyone have an opinion?

I've heard a lot of good things about Treo and I want to give them a try. I think I'm going to go for it. If nothing else, I can always put my JLs back.

Yeah, I've had mine for 8 months and it's been great. I'm pushing it with a 2 channel Pioneer amp. Bridged at 380 watts and it sounds great. If you had a W3 I'd say maybe stay with the JL's but it should be an improvement over a W1

Yeah I thought of that. I started looking around at w3s, but I think I'll wait until I upgrade my box before I get some.

I'm looking at upgrading my amps and figure I might get a new sub to just because the amp I want is rated at 500 watts so I figure why not lol. But if I do I'll get a Alpine Type-R or Polk MM just because they handle more power.

I have a JBL 601.1 and it's awesome. It's hardly a quarter of the way up and it is pounding my JLs. That's kind of why I want to get some slightly more powerful subs. The only thing is the guy that sold it to me lost the bass knob and they don't make them anymore.

Oh that *****. Would another brand knob not work? I'm thinking of getting a Alpine PDX-V9 to push all my speakers

Never heard the treo but id still get that over the jl. Jl's lower end subs have never impressed me.

Well, they turned out to be gone anyways. However, these JLs have been with me for three years and they sound awesome, in my opinion. They give solid sound and great depth to the music even at high volumes. They can't get up as loud as we would like, of course. But, that's why they are deemed "low-end" haha. I am looking to upgrade, I'm just a cheapskate and that's not something that can happen in the car audio world.

And devast8r: I have one from a Fosgate 325.1 but it won't fit, so I'm assuming that a different one wouldn't work.
