so I bought some 10in rsx off CL and one is seized up and won't move. The other works but has the second voicecoil wire separated from the cone. So can I take the wire off of the seized up sub and just solder it to the good subs

i'm not sure on the value of that sub, but it sounds like the magnet poped loose, and may be salvageable with simple re-allignment. i'm sure there is someone on here that can do it cheap enough. may need some new softparts. you can probably get new tinsel off the same guy for the other one. you can do exactly as you suggested, but the most reliable way to do it without it falling apart again, is to go with longer than origional tinsel lead, solder it on, and glue about an inch of lead from the solder connection to the cone itself, to keep any strain off the repaired joint. now you know what happens when you man-handle a loaded box, or bare sub...

top plate came unglued on the one sub. i could fix for you but really wouldnt be worth the money...
yea its pretty well toast. is there anything i can do about it myself? is it that hard to realign everything? i have access to any tool imaginable.
