I was too pissed off to realize that rofl.... but yeah im keeping it she said they will take the house if she doesn't pay it again ok? how do you know they know when the moneys coming??? But 2 g's ain't shit since she bought a ****ing $50,000 Avalanche saying shes in debt.. I'm just amazed on how shitty shes being over something that can come anywhere replacing my dad.

im pretty sure he did have a will, otherwise the money would most likely be dispursed to nearest living relatives

Since you are 18, talk to a lawyer & considering you're 18. Depending on the amount, id speak to a financial advisor about it after you get the money. Dont blow it all on something stupid.
Edit: Also, you dont need to tell her any information you dont want to. If shes acting all shady about it, something isnt right. Your father left that money for YOU, and not your mother. Im sure he had a reason for it.
