So I found out he left me money. My mother wasn't going to say anything to me until she knew she needed my signature for paperwork. I'm amazed on how sh!tty shes acting over this seeing its in MY NAME. And shes all *****y acting like I won't see a dime of it.. can she do this? I mean since its in my name??? I knew nothing about this since she waited untill she needed me to do this... Really upset on how shes acting over something thats NOT hers.. and I'm not trying to sound greedy just upset on how shes acting...

i would honestly call a lawyer. Id think if it was in your name she'd have no say over it.

or shes just being greedy and wants money?

either way, its your money, i dont see how she can steal it if they can only release it to you? go open up a bank account, there usually free or only require a $25 deposit to keep open the debit card... while your at the bank ask them for there suggestions, if you know what company or how the whole will and last testimite was handeled, ask the people that distributed what was in his will

She said she needs 2 grand for taxes for our other house in PA.. basically she has no idea how much I'm getting and is already making a ****ing shopping list? "I don't wanna lose my house" is what I'm hearing and shes pulling that whole "oh I raised you blah blah!!!I don't know what do do just confused as shit... and yes im 18 =]

So to cash the check with MY NAME I need to be present? Or can she weasel her way into my money?

I really don't know what the **** to do I do know theres going to be a BIG fight soon...

Since you are 18, talk to a lawyer & considering you're 18. Depending on the amount, id speak to a financial advisor about it after you get the money. Dont blow it all on something stupid.

Edit: Also, you dont need to tell her any information you dont want to. If shes acting all shady about it, something isnt right. Your father left that money for YOU, and not your mother. Im sure he had a reason for it.

ya the last thing you want to do is spend most if not all of it on a 2 door benz and a pile of coke

try to invest atleast half if not 3/4 of it ... pretend like you never even got the money, just throw it all in a IRA , savings account, or some sort of stocks and bonds program... that way in 15-20 years when your struggling with your morgage with a fat wife and 3 kids, you will be like "OH SHIT" i forgot i have **** near 50-100k in the bank! w00t!

No I'm putting it somewhere and not touching it...

I thought that some ppl on here would have decent advice I have NO phone number the money is somewhere in NY. Yes NO info on what I'm supposed to do to get it shes just keeping it all to herself and being a total ***** when I ask about it then we fight for 3 days.

Ok look call me what the **** you want but im done..

I said some shit and shes saying "What u calling me a thief? You keep every ****ing dime!"

I told her if she doesn't know how much is in there how do you know theres enough for those ****ing taxes.. no that I get something she wants it if the ****ing money wasn't here she wasn't complaing about having to pay those taxes untill she knew I had this money...]

I don't give a **** anymore.. shits ****ing mine! I'm sick of her taking all my shit I never saw a DIME of my child support when they got a divorce Inever even a few bucks to buy a new shirt.. I'm sick of her guilt shit "Oh I raised you how dare you!" I'm going on a long drive... thanks for the advice. Its mine!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! she can find her own way to pay her debt.
