Toyota Prius install info request.

Hi all,

Wife and I are considering a Toyota Prius. The new '07's are quite nice IMO.

However I am not at all interested in keeping the stock stereo and would prefer to move my current system into the Prius or an entirely new system.

Anyway is anyone aware of install requirements or quirks with a hybrid, gas/electric, Prius?

I could not find anything in the brochure or their website. The salesman did not know but thought it would be difficult or worse. I will call Toyota Monday to try to talk to someone knowledgeable.

I am sure this may become a bit more common place as hybrids of varied types become more prevalent.

anyone know about this?

it's about time got a new car, and i'm looking at a prius...

...but i don't know how putting a system in it would work

i saw on a news report today about the mechanical maintenance on hybrids, they talked about how to maintain the engine, and all the working parts, and they quickly said a lot of parts are not in the car, and named off a few, including an alternator...

i dunno how this works, i'm far from a mechanic, but i also know they run over 200 volts...

so, anyone got any info on a system in a prius?

throw a couple batteries in back, charge em up every few days if theres no alt/prius electrical cannot charge them(assuming)
