tow truck drivers are SHADY!

i dont understand your concern here... YOU filed the police report, did you expect them just to declare him guilty on the spot? even if he admits it in public, its inocent until proven guilty in a court of law. its just a formality of the state, you will go to court, he will admit fault, done deal.
and why is accident in quotation? did you expect them to refer to it as an "on purpose"? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

i dont understand why this makes tow truck drivers shady... seems like its the judicial system in action to me //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif
why would you take a case where you're obviously at fault to court? only thing i can think of is he's fighting the ticket. and maybe he thinks because i didn't file with my insurance i won't show up in court?

if you're not a shady tow truck driver and you read this then it doesn't pertain to you. but i'm sure you work or have worked with one.

I don't get it.. First you said 'Tow truck drivers are SHADY' thus meaning everyone that drives a towtruck cannot be trusted.. Now you are saying there are some out there that are ok?? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

i am not now, nor have i ever been employed by anyone even affiliated with a tow truck company. i work on residential construction.

but my point was that he, more than likely, did not initiate the court date, that it is part of the judicial system that he must be proven guilty in a court of law. like i said, you cant just say publicly that you did it, it must be taken through the court system. just the same as if you got a ticket for speeding, admitted that you were speeding, you would still be given a court date.

the tow truck driver has little to do with the court summons, its just part of the system that he must go and admit fault or have his innocence in the matter(or lack thereof) defended.

so its not neccisarily him fighting the ticket, but his chance to admit his fault and the court system delegate his penance(sp) //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

you can also just pay the ticket/fine.

yes, but youre missing the point...

no matter what you do, they assign you a court date regaurdless. paying the fine is nothing more than pleading guilty in court. the court date is a formality, the truck driver had nothing to do with the court date.

YOU are the one who arranged for there to be a court date, and you initiated it by insisting on the police report(which was the right thing to do, and saved you from him or his company changing their mind on fixing it...).

but it sounds like you are very paranoid about it... the truck driver isnt the one bringing you to court. you are being summoned into court to protest against the truck driver in the case which he will plead guilty to. calm down man, step away from the pot, youre paranoid as hell for some reason lol. its nothing more than a formality, not someone trying to screw you over.

Im my complex we end up having a few empty spots by the time night falls. I park at the very end where noone tries parking b/c the have to walk an extra 20 feet and I park a tad bit in the little open space for the sidewalk so even if they do park by me they will still be far enough away to open there doors all the way. I am glad they do not roam our parking lots or I would have alot of door dings and alot of tickets..

Sorry to hear.

Why did OJ go on trial..adversarial system my friend.

Filtor1- In concur with your feelings on Gainesville tow truck drivers. Hiding in the shadows and blatantly waiting for someone to park illegally is pathetic.

I had several car accidents when I was young and a report was filed with the police for each one but I have never gone to court for one.

I have watched them from my car. They wait until everyone parks for class just outside the O-center parking garage and walks away to go to class, and then get to work. 4 trucks at a time. I have seen this done in Gainesville Place Apt's as well.
