i think anyone that spends more time in a truck or vehicle alone then time associating with humans is shady. any truck driver is sketch as hell

On average in Tampa near USF for an apartment complex with 300 residents there are less than 300 parking spaces, and maybe 20 or 30 max "Visitor" spaces. Most of these complexes are located next to OTHER apartment complexes. They all have Tow truck companies that patrol and tow cars "illegally parked".. this can mean no visitor pass, not in the right section of the lot, a tire over the line, parked not far enough IN the spot, "back in" to a spot... whatever they deem illegal.

its a joke. they tow residents, visitors, people at parties, people sleeping.

Imagine having to park at a 7-11 and walk to your GF's place 1/4 mile down a road wit no sidewalks because if you park in the half empty lot during the summer with everyone outta town... you STILL get towed and have to pay 175 bucks to get YOUR car back.

Ive been towed in MY parking lot from MY designated spot because they claimed I didn't have a tag. I have lived here 4 years, same license plate, same parking tag, always hanging from my mirror. When we got to the lot to retrieve my truck, the tag was visible in the windshield... I still had to pay them to get my car back to go to work the next day. When you sue them in court, they show up with entirely different employees than the ones who works that night and they flat out deny anything.

mother **** towtruck drivers, companies anyone involved in Patrol Towing.

now on the otherhand, RECOVERY drivers and Wreckers have saved my *** plenty a time.

remember, they are not responsible for damage to the vehicle.

IE: you bag a truck and drop it.. and they DRAG it with a winch onto a flatbed.. guess what.. you were still deemed illegally parked and you wont see a penny.. and still pay for the tow.

FL law protected them too well up until recently.

so a few months ago i'm at a Mcdonalds drive thru and i get slammed into from behind. a tow truck. damage was a cracked taillight, scratched and set the bumper out of place. he claimed he had just woken up and wasn't paying attention. he appologizes and says it's not that bad they can fix it at their body shop. i said no dude i'm filling a police report. so i did so.
now i get a letter with a court date for the "accident". shady. does he really think i won't show up since i didn't file anything with my insurance company? hahahaha. i'll be there at 2pm just like it says. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

i dont understand your concern here... YOU filed the police report, did you expect them just to declare him guilty on the spot? even if he admits it in public, its inocent until proven guilty in a court of law. its just a formality of the state, you will go to court, he will admit fault, done deal.

yeah my dad is a tow truck driver and owns his own company. he has never done anything shady. he is a great guy. everybody from our town calls him, because they dont trust anybody else. and who pays 50 dollars per mile. my dad only charges like 3 or 4 bucks. not all drivers are shady.

I live and park in downtown Atlanta and have never had a problem with tow trucks or services. Learn not to be a ****ing retard and you won't be towed. Sucks you got hit buy a shitty driver.

I know plenty of tow truck drivers... out of them, probably 2 I wouldn't trust just because they come into where I work and always have to tell a story about some stupid crap that would just make me not trust them, but as for the other 10 or so I know, they are great people, just trying to make a living.
