Total noob, stupid question.(fiberglass)

depending on the weight (most stores sell ~6oz weight per square yard) its about 1\8 to 1\4 inch thick.

why? the layers dont matter, its all about having it strong enough. as long as its not flexing - dont even worry how many layers are on there.

sealed dimensions aint overly critical any way. you can eye ball an aproximate ft3age. but for ported boxes you ought to get that XXXX perfect dimension to optimize performance and sound.
