torched and stained box

not the greatest pic on earth but here, took an acetalene torch and hit all the seams eges and corners of the box, then took a dark stain (forgot what... mahogony maybe) and stained the box, only has 2 coats right now, still needs to be hit with some superfine sandpaper or steel wool, and more coats but here, you get the idea. The burnt edges and seames give it just enough discoloration to give it that antique cabinet look. i like it anyways lol

It's interesting. Not my cup of tea, but then again I'm kind of anal about aesthetics. If you like it, then stick with it. You can always paint/carpet it later.

How does it look close up?
