So i decide to take apart my "blown" type r because it sounds like dookie.

I took the cone, spider, and voice coil off and have it still together as one piece. I took a look at the voice coil and there seems to be nothing wrong. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

I was expecting it to be warped or fried but i don't think it is.

When i played it before tearing it apart it sounded as if i had the gain turned way to high on the amp but it was down all the way. I was only running 300 watts to it and it was just makin a farting type of noise, as if there was a bad connection.

There is nothing wrong with the amp because it powers the sub i have in my car just fine.

Any suggestions towards what could be wrong?

Oh yea i will be posting pics later to show whats up.

uh oh, these boys are about to tear you a new one.......... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

I'm guessing that's what it is. There's not a lot of room back there.

What amp and Ohm load are you running? What are the dimensions of the enclosure? sealed or ported?Tuned too? You may be better off buying a pair...
