Too much pre-out for EQ?

I am looking at a clarion 746 EQ, with a max input sensitivity of 3V. I have an alpine head unit rated a 4.

Is this a problem?

It also says max output voltage 7 V. Does that mean the EQ has a 7 V preout to my amps?

Will this added voltage help? I need the EQ to compensate for various types of music with varying levels of bass and such..............
