Too much for L7 15?

I was thinking about getting the tantrum 1200.1 to push a L7 15" and whats the smallest ported box i should put it in for daily.

Kicker recommends 3.00cu.ft + port (0.46cu.ft)

should handle it, just be carefull with your gain level and dont clip it. you can go 3 - 6 feet ported... they tel you all the specs of the box in the L7 manual.... for a 3 cube box, 4.5 cube box, or 6 cube box

A buddy of mine runs 12L7's at 1200 watts each all day long. he has it in 4.3 cubes and they wang hard and sound pretty good too.

alright, i got my box figured out, and if someone can run it and see if it comes out good. these are External #'s

37" Wide

26" Deep

13" High

Ports-(2) 4" x 11"

The sub will be facing up and the ports will be on the back of the box firing into the car, not the back of the trunk. Car is a 240sx Hatchback. So if someone can give me an idea how many cubes that box is internal and what its tuned to with those ports. Thanks

well today i built a 3cube sealed box for temp, and i was shocked how well it sounds and how hard it hits. It gets every beat, and u can feel it alot better and hear further than a ported box.

well after just playing with it for a few mins, the face of the box decided to blow apart around the edges, so back to work on the box agin

Well your box being 37x26x13 external would give you a box that is 5.8 cu.ft. That is not factoring in the displacement for the sub, port or any bracing.

Dude, run the speaker and port both facing up. the port to the rear most of the car, ritting the glass. with 5.8 cubes that speaker would slam with 1400w's, especially w/ your car
