Too much bracing?

ok so I finished my cad design for my box.. I still need to figure out how to get it all setup with dimensions and such but here it is... I imagine it has too much bracing but ohh well....

it's 52Wx21Lx17.5H

I think the total volume ended up around 4.2cu ft per sub accounting for bracing and displacement...

autodesk inventor i love that program i used to use it every day at a previous job now it just sit on my computer at i think ive done up a couple of boxes with it

i say go with the second design, and and stuff polyfill all behind those braces

Prolly 2 15" idw's im guessing honestly for those subs you may not need bracing but if I had to choose between ur current options I would go with Box V2

I like #2 better as well... I could also drop the bracing down to 1" )everything around holes is 2").... I figured better build it with bracing than build that monster box and have it flex... even if it flexed just a tiny bit it'd drive me nuts and I'd have to rebuild it...

+ if I ever find 2 15"s that need that kind of airspace and are beastly woofers I'll need the bracing...

x2 dont forget the 45 degree bracing @ the corners.

I would do triangular bracing on the center of every edge or just run a tack strip down each edge. The only problem I see with either design is they both leave large sections of unbraced MDF. On the first one, the sections between the braces are almost as big as the space would be without a brace. Wasted bracing. On the second, the whole back panel is unbraced.

With a double baffle on the front, it should be good and the center divider stiffen it even more. I would probably cut two "U" shaped braces that wrap all the way around sides of each chamber and across the back and then do the same for the top-back-bottom. Notch them together where they meet on the back panel. Should provide plenty of bracing without displacing too much space in the box. I don't have a drawing program worth the name here or I would diagram it for you.
