y not just turn the gain down on the amp? wouldnt it be much easier and u wouldnt have to get a complete new set up. and if u ever want more bass, it'll be available.

Its easier to listen to music with 1000watts+ going to your sub stage when you have a nice sounding sub with a decent front stage to keep up.

No such thing as to much bass

If it's clean, detailed, and sounds like a musical note then I agree. If it's just loud, boomy, muddy crap, then yes IMO you can have too much....

Really depends.

I gave a MTX 7515 -04 only 500watts, and it got almost as loud as it two TC-7 10's @ 1300.
