Hey I just picked up a set of ed EHQS8 subs and I was thinking about integrating them into my front doors with my CDT 6.5's and tweet's. Would this be worth the sound advantage if I plan on adding a 18" sub in the future? Someone knowledgable please give me some information on this so I can get a game plan together.

Are those the ed subs that were like $5??

If so they are not very great drivers, really low xmax dont take abuse to well apparently either.

However as a midbass they might do decent in a well deadened door, however i think your 6 cdts are a little too big to play some mid range freq. With they setup you mentioned i dont think its worth it to install. Granted a 3 way set up should sound better than a 2 way but thats if they are installed correctly which is 99% of the problem.

Yeah, I could also mount them in the rear of my car, and glass up some small enclosures in the back, in the side panels right at the back seat.
