Too many spacers? ( component install)

i feel like the sound is getting caught in the door

panel of my 06 civic sedan. I think its creating more rattles and not letting as

much sound as it should into the cabin.

This is a sketch of what i sort of want to do (stolen from someone on diyma ) :

my door panel is much thinner and my spacers would come out flush with the outside of the door panel. The spacers/baffle for my doors would have to be about a total of 2.25 " deep for it to bring my speakers out from under the panel and sit flush. The speakers by the way are morel tempo 6's.........

does anyone with a more knowledge in car audio/acoustics see a problem with doing this?

That sure is a sexy sketch.

I've done that foam gasket between the driver and the door panel before. My goal was to have to the speaker play directly out of the door panel's grill and to not have any of the backwaves interfere.

That person has be beat by .75"

u think i'll be ok then with only needing 2.25" Depth to get the speaker out beyond the panel(flush) ?

i think i only have enough space to do Circle spacers, not enough room for oval or bigger spacers. : (
