too many pre-outs

well, I have 3 4v preouts coming from my clarion, and in a month i'm selling my amps and getting a diamond 4 channel. Anyways, since it only accepts 2 pre-outs, is it possible for me to use y adapters and combine my front and rear channels? Getting more volts to the amp would be nice.

btw, i have 3 speakers, 2 5x7s and 1 sub, so i'd bridge 2 channels (off the non-fading preout) and then hopefully run the 2 internals off the 2 preouts.

is this possible?

yes you could....but i wouldnt recomend it.....basicly use only one of the pre outs and run them to the amp....most 4 channel amps have the ability to run in tri mode...which allows for what your wanting to do....good luck

why dont you recommend it? would the signals conflict with each other or something like that?

never heard of bridging rca outputs....i wouldnt do it at all get a line driver as i am sure those are cheaper than a new deck lol

if your h/u puts our 4v per perout....thats more than enough for the amp....the higher the voltage the easier it will be for you to pick up alt. noise.....jus stick w/ using the number of pre outs that your amp needs instead of trying to bridge 2 pre amps ......good luck
