well my current box is 17.83 cubes with an whoooping 118.63sqin of port!

so what should my next box be? i was thinking 15 cubes with tons more port area?

would port area make that much of an difference?

noo port noise at all honestly it slams harder than a muthafuka! im puzzled because im tuned sooooooo low and i got high bass notes out the ***! but i just wanted to know what other 18" subwoofer users liked as far as box size and port size.

maybe try the same size box with enough port area??? That's a big ol' box, maybe down to 12 cubes?

yea i know lol i honestly wasnt expecting the 18s to sound loud at all but GD it fooled me by a ton! i cant breathe in the truck as it is now, kinda scare me to think im going with another 4000.1 and possibly an smaller box tuned higher ouch!

my port goes across the bottom of the box and is about 2.25 inches tall

no port noise i also noticed that the air come from the sides of the port? wierd i guess the corners of the port, im thinking of going back to an SQuare port like this>>> [_]

port tuning is a function of port area and length so you should be able to keep the low tuning iwth more area. That low tuning must sound LOUD.

yea its retarted loud tonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnns of flex but curious how much louder to the ear would i get tuning higher like 32-34hz?
