3) Are they a true deep cycle or are they more of a compromise of a staring battery and a deep cycle?

1) Yes, love it.

2) I use it under the hood. Funny enough, it's currently in parallel with my Optima D31 Yellow Top in the rear of my truck.

3) I believe they're a true deep cycle, question would probably be best asked to Kinetik I guess...
