To the people who sound deadened trunk cars...

did you notice any difference in SQ or deep bass?
not really...just louder. Also I have to unlock my trunk, then lift. It doesn't lift automatically anymore.

I would reccomend it. It kind of "completes" the system. Not as important as an amp or HU, but something to definitely do once all that is installed.

I have roughly 240sqft of Stinger Extreme Roadkill in my trunk car. I noticed the biggest reduction of road noise from the floor pan and b and c pillars being done.

As far as sound, the increase in midbass response was very noticable after doing a layer on the doors skin and another layer on the inside. I chose to do all four doors. I suppose it all depends on what your goals are.

As for the trunk, I put 4 layers on the lid, 4 more on the sides (L&R), and a single layer on the trunk floor. The top side of the rear deck and any spot I thought would benefit from it.

At a minimal sound level, comfortable to me, I can step out of the car and close the door and only hear a muffled sound from the mids and highs. The only thing I hear from the subs is, when at higher volumes, the spoiler light rattles. Inside though, the sounds is soo much better. Everything is cleaner. No panel vibrations.

less road noise. and a louder sounding system.
same here. didn't help my exterior rattle since i have a trunk that opens with a handle rather than a pop by unlocking, lotta mechanisms shaking there, believe me i tried foam and everything, doesnt help. sucks for me. but yeah, do it! i did all four of my doors too and i noticed less road noise too. sound deadening is well worth it if you have the time.

It is a rather tedious process without an "impact" reward. Don't get in a hurry or get bored with it. Get a friend to do the other side and yall can just chill, talk, etc and makes the process a lot easier/better.

For me, doing the whole car in Dynamat improved the bass 'feel' and sound, and it makes the highs and mids sound much cleaner, and less rattle from my doors and trunk spoiler/lid. As for stepping outside, it really does sound different, you dont hear the 'ehh ehh' kinda rattling from the subs, its more muffled and quiet, and less chance of annoying cops, lol. When you open the door and stand near it with the subs loud, you can 'feel' it come out at you if that makes sense. But overall, it increased everything noticeably, make sure you do the roof and floors too. I cant live without deadening now because I hated the rattling before. Im going to do a second layer with eDead v4, to go over the Dynamat.
