To run 2 Type R's. What Alpine -or- JL amp to use?

You need around 2kW to really push'em right. I'd look at some other companies so you don't have to buy multiple amps. Try Memphis M-Class, Lanzar Optidrive, and some others. One big amp will be cheaper and easier to set up than two small ones.

look into a Orion 2500D or a ZX 2500.1 those will pwn.

I am personally biased towards Memphis. A little pricey, but worth every penny IMO.

OK, he doesn't NEED it, but they can take 1000w apiece all day. Might as well use their full potential

2000w would be nice, and you woudlnt have to have it fult til always, the head room woudl be nice......

memphis mclass = awsome

kicker 2500.1 is extremely efficent and loud as balls

alot of good used things are in the classified right now. an RE 35.1 thatd do liek 1600+ish @ 1 ohm would be nice if budget is an issue.
