To paint or not to paint my box?

I had recently built a box for my sub which I'm very happy with, but I am considering painting it as I have some black spray paint laying around. My concern is that because I live in the tropics that the heat in the car may cause the box to heat up more. For 90% of the time the box wouldn't have access to direct sunlight as it is covered by the boot cover.

Would painting the box black cause much of a temperature increase over the current MDF coloured box? Is this increase in temps anything to worry about? or am I just over thinking this...

Cheers.

It should have very little affect on the box, as earlier stated. And when your sub gets the air moving, there will be little to no affect on it, and none on the subwoofer's performance.
